BBT Cafe

BBT Cafe is a more affordable Taiwanese restaurant. They have many choices which, coming in reasonable prices and portions. They serve food quickly, and they have very good service. It was much easier for me to communicate with the waiters as I speak Mandarin, but it maybe more difficult to communicate if you're an English speaker. Nevertheless, it has great food, drinks, decent atmosphere. And you get what you paid for.

Posh (Japanese Hotpot)

Posh is one of the best hotpot I've ever been to. It was clean, organized, though a little small and crowded, but they have amazing food, and their staff was patient and helpful. They selling point is the Sukiyaki, which is a hotpot with flavoured soup, instead of using salty-sweet sugar and soy-sauce base, they use a healthier alternative by using a combination of 8 fruits and vegetables to create a natural sweetness. I had a great time and the food was served fast, and they have a variety of drinks. Definitely going there again.

Jang Mo Jib

Jang Mo Jib is a Korean restaurant offering spicy, authentic dishes, many soup based. This restaurant has lot of different location. I have been to the location which is on Robson Street. I had the Korean seafood pancake, jap chae, steamed dumplings and a pork bone soup that came with rice, and a lot of side dishes. The soup wasn't too spicy but perfectly flavourful and the pork meat literally fell off the bone and was soft but not dry.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an authentic style Korean dinner, one bad thing is that looking for parking in Downtown Vancouver might take awhile.

Shota Sushi & Grill

Looking for good sushi? Shota Sushi & Grill would be the perfect spot! Located in Kerrisdale. One of the best sushi I've ever had. Although some might think that it would be slightly expensive, the interior design feels like a real Japanese restaurant, definitely one of the prettiest restaurant I've been to. They have the traditional tables, and they typical Japanese type of seat, sitting on a mat, with nothing supporting your back, and your legs are usually in a kneeling position. They have incredible food, from typical sushi and miso soup, udon, ramen, sashimi, and special rolls, just to name a few off my head.  It is number 1 on my list when I need sushi.

Afternoon Tea at Secret Garden Tea Company

Secret Garden Tea Company is ideal for a relaxing afternoon. Secret Garden is famous for their high tea, but breakfast, lunch is also available. Secret Garden can be pricey, but I think it's worth it, money in exchange for a few hours of bonding with friends and family.

Their signature is a classic tea set with tea and elegant three-tiered tray of miniature pastries

If you're looking for a quiet place to talk, this place would be ideal for you.
